Mike and Olivia are thrilled to be part of the instructional staff for BringOnSwing Laughlin 2008.
They have a regular teaching gig in Huntington Beach through Parks and Recreation where they present three levels of swing dance on Thursday evenings.  They have been guest instructors on Friday nights at Memories in Whittier, and for the past two years, have been feature instructors for BookWithBrenda's Sea Swing Sensation Ensenada Cruise.  Mike and Olivia's teaching exploits were recently profiled in the Orange County Register and on Time Warner Cable's SoCal News.  Along with being partners on the dance floor, they are partners in real life having just successfully navigated 16 years of marriage.  They also team up on weekdays as dentist and dental hygienist in Michael's practice where he has invested 28 years in the profession.

This dynamic duo have collectively devoted over two decades of their lives to swing dancing, specializing in all styles from the 20's to the 50's.  Collectively and individually, they hold several titles and are frequently invited to perform, teach and judge across the U.S. and Canada.  Their clear and concise teaching methods have been developed through several years of partnership allowing them to break down and demonstrate and describe even the most difficult movements with ease.  Together they own and operate the Bobby Sox Brigade, a professional swing dance troupe dedicated to preserving and performing the dances of the 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's.  The 48-member strong, award-winning troupe (National Jitterbug Competition 2005, US Open Swing Dance Championships 2006) has performed at a variety of events and venues throughout the west coast.
